About our clinic
Chartwell–Rototuna Dental Centre Ltd – trading as C & R Dental Care was created after two very experienced dentists saw an opportunity to open their own clinic and create a space that was all about great quality dentistry, a great team environment and caring for the patients. Where patients are not just a number.
Dr Suzanne Tonkin and Dr Saud Ibrahim have opened C&R Dental Care after spending 20 plus years working at other Hamilton Clinics. Dr Suzanne Tonkin comes from 16 years at Rototuna Dental, since it’s inception, and Dr Saud Ibrahim became the owner of Chartwell (and subsequently the extension to the Rototuna Branch) 25 years ago. Between Saud, Suzanne and their background the idea for C & R Dental was born.
At C&R Dental Care, we believe that compassionate care and genuine connection make all the difference. Led by Dr Suzanne Tonkin and Dr Saud Ibrahim—whose passion and warmth have earned them a fabulous rapport with patients—we’re proud to be a vibrant and growing dental practice in the heart of Hamilton.
Our story began when Suzanne and Saud moved into the former Villa Dental space on Wairere Drive, transforming it into a place where smiles are restored, and relationships are built. We have already grown from a team of 10 to over 20 dedicated staff, united by the same vision: to deliver exceptional dental care in a welcoming, people-first environment.
